Editorial Policy
Fihoco · Updated May 10, 2026
Mission
Fihoco publishes film criticism that balances craft literacy with humane observation—covering theatrical releases, streaming catalog titles, and curated classics without surrendering taste to algorithmic hype.
Independence
Advertising, affiliate placements, or studio hospitality cannot purchase stars, suppress unfavorable coverage, or reorder homepage rails. Sponsored modules—if ever introduced—will carry explicit labeling distinct from editorial reviews.
Assignments
Editors choose coverage based on cultural relevance, reader curiosity, craft merit, and editorial bandwidth—not auction dynamics around media placements.
Scores
Ratings summarize collective editorial screening notes at publication time. They are revisitable when verified alternate cuts materially change presentation; interpretive disagreements remain fair game.
Corrections
Factual errors receive dated notes at article bottoms. Interpretive updates receive transparent labeling when editorial judgment shifts after new evidence—never retroactively aligned with advertisers.
Conflicts
Financial ties or close relationships that could bias perception appear in contributor disclosures. Writers decline coverage where fairness cannot be reasonably maintained.
Conduct
Readers and industry contacts deserve professionalism. Threatening correspondence may be escalated to platform abuse channels.
